Simple math equation. Nicolas Cage + leather jacket + fire + motorcycle + the devil = AWESOME, right? Or at least I thought so. The first movie was solid, unintentionally humorous entertainment and was full of Nic Cage freak outs that were completely memorable. Unfortunately the sequel winds up being almost instantly forgettable. With a bad story that doesn’t ever pull you in and all the action being in the last 10 minutes of the film, “Spirit of Vengeance” is not worth your time or money. I might add, the 3D does NOTHING for the film. I’m hoping Nic Cage’s next film “Seeking Justice” will end the streak of shitty movies he has been in recently.
